      Newsletter - July 2021

      Rubi Santoro

In this month's newsletter, learn about our latest product features, our newest technical partnerships with Capital One and U.S. Bank, and how the future is fintech.

      Product highlights

Expanded coverage for retail credit cards: For our Liabilities product, we’ve added support for even more retail credit cards including Target, Macy’s, TJ Maxx, American Eagle, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, and Sears.

Improved cryptocurrency price handling: We’ve made updates to the Investments holdings and securities objects to reflect the USD value of cryptocurrency.

      Integration best practices

Stay up-to-date with the latest Link SDKs: Link SDKs are released monthly. For a complete record of Link SDK changes, including minor updates and patch fixes, see the GitHub changelog for iOS, Android and React Native.

Upgrade to the latest and preferred method of integrating: Link tokens offer a secure and clean integration that serve as the foundation for the upcoming Plaid Link enhancements, such as the updated Select Account pane, in addition to existing features like the returning user experience (RUX).

Looking for our Changelog? You can find it in our docs.

      Virtual events

Embedded finance - When the future is fintech: In response to consumer demand and accelerated innovation, every company is quickly becoming a fintech. Watch Plaid's COO, Eric Sager, and Barron's Group SVP, Mae Cheng, at Barron’s Investing In Tech event discuss how the future of the industry is connected, embedded, and open—and how companies can keep up.

Open finance innovation through bank partnerships: We’re excited to share more about our most recent technical partnerships with Capital One and U.S. Bank. Through these partnerships, Plaid has successfully moved to their respective APIs, enabling millions of consumers to enjoy reliable and secure access to the 5,000+ apps and services in our network—without the need to store credentials.
