<li>Leading a skilled software engineering team to deliver on increasingly impactful and ambitious objectives across many security domains, including: Zero Trust, Data Security, Identity and Access Management, Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management, and Supply Chain Security and Integrity.</li><li>End-to-end ownership of comprehensive security controls that scale across Plaid’s microservices and data platforms and enable efficient and secure product delivery.</li><li>Developing a strategy to support Plaid’s business objectives through customer-centric engineering solutions.</li><li>Advise on, contribute to, and drive the security vision and strategy at Plaid.</li><li>Applying previous experience to provide guidance, mentorship, and growth for team members.</li><li>Following changes in the state of security as an industry, and maintaining up to date knowledge of offensive threats, defensive techniques, and best practices.</li>

<li>8+ years of experience in software development, preferably with a focus on security. This role requires significant technical depth and breadth.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage engineering teams effectively, with a focus on technical excellence.</li><li>Effective people management skills, including strategy and goal setting, prioritization, cross-team coordination, and continuous feedback.</li><li>Broad knowledge of offensive threats, defensive techniques, and security best practices.</li><li>Proven ability to both influence and get things done within your team as well as cross-functionally across the organization.</li>

<li>Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security into the product lifecycle, from inception to deployment, ensuring that security is a core consideration in all design and development decisions.</li><li>Conduct Threat Modeling and Risk Assessments from the early stages of the product development lifecycle to identify, assess, and prioritize security risks, enabling proactive mitigation strategies.</li><li>Perform rigorous security testing and reviews for new features being built in the assigned area to uncover and address security weaknesses.</li><li>Lead incident response efforts, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize impact and prevent future occurrences.</li><li>Foster a Security-Conscious Culture by educating and empowering engineering and product teams through training, awareness campaigns, and mentorship, cultivating a strong security mindset.</li>
