We’re excited to share that Plaid has been named a Cool Vendor in
financial services by leading research company Gartner.
“The Cool Vendors in Consumer Financial Services, 2016” report,
published this month, highlights Plaid’s focus on empowering consumers
and developers.
We’re especially proud to be selected for Gartner’s consumer-focused
report, because it underscores the impact our platform has for
consumers across the broader ecosystem—from lowering the barriers to
entry for developers to deliver great services, to promoting the use of
credential-based logins.
The note, published by Rajesh Kandaswamy, points out that Plaid makes
it possible to reimagine financial services completely with our
developer-friendly platform. Plaid’s technology makes bank data more
useful (and useable)—to benefit banks, developers, and consumers
themselves and democratize access to this data across practically
every U.S. bank.
“While this data exists, it remains behinds the walls of the owning
banks, and security and privacy concerns make it difficult to share,”
the report reads. “Plaid’s API approach is a start for being able to
use this data for new and better services.”
