The Workplace Experience team powers the Plaid experience. We do this through adaptable problem-solving, intentional design, and thoughtful execution grounded in expertise and care. We are looking for a highly organized and employee experience centric Workplace Operations Manager based in New York City to lead day to day operations & facility management of our  NYC and Raleigh offices. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable juggling priorities across locations, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for Plaid’s NYC and Raleigh offices, including workplace services (janitorial, food & beverage, guest services, etc.), facility maintenance, and repair.
  • Manage and coach 3 workplace operations team members across NYC and Raleigh, NC
  • Ensure the office is organized, clean, and operating smoothly to create a positive employee experience.
  • Lead space planning efforts to optimize office layout ,seating arrangements, and space utilization in line with business needs.
  • Collaborate on Workplace design projects to maintain a consistent brand across Plaid’s workplace portfolio.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with all workplace vendors (e.g., food & beverage, janitorial, security, etc.).
  • Source, onboard, and manage new vendors to ensure top-tier services.
  • Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders such as HR, TechOps, Legal, FP&A, and Workplace team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Collaborate with the Workplace Operations Lead to prepare and manage the annual budget for NYC and Raleigh.
  • Monitor expenses and identify areas for process improvement and cost efficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate Emergency Action Plans and inform employees of important emergency procedures as part of the annual Workplace Safety training.
  • Partner with vendors to maintain health & safety standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Represent and influence Plaid’s culture in the office by building relationships and supporting employees.
  • Ensure a frictionless in-office experience for employees and guests.
  • Manage office moves, changes, and openings as needed.
  • Assist the Events & Experiences team with in-office events to bring events to life in our spaces.
  • In-office requirement 5 days a week.
  • Reports directly to the Workplace Operations Lead based in San Francisco.

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Office Management, Facilities or a similar role.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience managing people and teams.
  • Expert understanding of facilities operations, space planning, and vendor management.
  • Strong customer service orientation and experience handling workplace requests and issues.
  • Ability to bring fresh ideas and lead them through to execution and implementation.
  • Exceptional organization, documentation, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages effectively to different audiences.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and triaging Workplace requests.
  • Ability to advocate for ideas, lead in areas of expertise, and commit to decisions.
  • Appetite for growth and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Proven track record of anticipating needs and solving problems creatively.
  • Experience with Workplace tools like G Suite, Slack, Jira, and Envoy.
$114,000.00 - $138,000.00 per year

The target base salary for this position ranges from $114,000/year to $138,000/year in New York. The target base salary will vary based on the job's location. 

Our geographic zones are as follows:

Zone 1 - New York City and San Francisco Bay Area
Zone 2 - Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C.
Zone 3 - Austin, Boston, Denver, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego
Zone 4 - Raleigh-Durham and all other US cities

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission (if applicable), equity and benefits. The pay range shown on each job posting is the minimum and maximum target for new-hire salaries. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on factors like skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
