The Experiential Design team creates immersive, memorable experiences for Plaid in a variety of settings such as Effects, Money20/20 and our trade show presence.

As the Senior Experiential Designer, you will design and execute immersive experiences that capture our Plaid's essence and mission. From concept to execution, you’ll be responsible for creating events and brand activations that connect with our target audience and communicate our unique value. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and executive teams to ensure that each experience aligns with our business goals and pushes creative boundaries.

Responsibilities

  • Concept Development: Ideate, develop, and pitch creative concepts for events, activations, and installations that reflect our brand and engage target audiences.
  • Project Management: Have a good grasp on project timelines, and resources to deliver experiences on time and within scope, managing both internal and external partners.
  • Design Execution: Ideate the creation of physical and digital brand experiences, including spatial design, environmental graphics, and interactive installations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align experiential designs with brand strategy, ensuring consistency and coherence in messaging.
  • Developing documents: Developing design documents and final production-ready artwork 
  • Presenting: Create presentations that communicate experiential brand strategies and designs. And be able to align Plaid company strategy to physical design.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in experiential design, with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful brand activations, installations, or events (fintech experience is a plus).
  • Skills: Proficiency in 3D modeling, spatial design, and environmental graphics, with expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools.
  • Strategic Vision: Strong understanding of brand strategy, storytelling, and how to leverage physical and digital spaces to engage audiences.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to navigate complex challenges, both creative and logistical, with a resourceful and adaptable mindset.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design ideas and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
$166,800.00 - $250,800.00 per year

The target base salary for this position ranges from $166,800/year to $250,800/year in Zone 1. The target base salary will vary based on the job's location. 

Our geographic zones are as follows:
Zone 1 - New York City and San Francisco Bay Area 
Zone 2 - Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C.
Zone 3 - Austin, Boston, Denver, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego
Zone 4 - Raleigh-Durham and all other US cities

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission (if applicable), equity and benefits. The pay range shown on each job posting is the minimum and maximum target for new-hire salaries. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on factors like skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
