The Sales team at Plaid combines deep technical, product, and industry knowledge to help our customers build and scale amazing applications. We believe that the way consumers and businesses interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. 

Plaid is looking for an experienced professional to facilitate and enable our sales of new products (alpha and beta) to new prospective clients.  The right candidate has impeccable business instincts and can drive strong outcomes that position our prospects and Plaid for success. This role is based in San Francisco (New York City will be considered), and will report to Plaid’s COO.

What Excites You

  • Working with Product, Engineering, Design, BizOps and Go-To-Market (GTM) Teams to identify target clients who would be early partners we want to introduce/launch our early-stage products with.
  • Working directly with prospects and our commercial team to sign the agreements necessary to launch these new products.
  • Working with Product, and Product Marketing to create all the marketing materials necessary to engage customers successfully.
  • Supporting BizOps and Product with price discovery on new products.
  • Providing structured insights to GTM and Product on new product market readiness and/or improvements needed to reach general availability.
  • Working with Product and Support to help customers using Beta products resolve any issues.
  • Working with GTM to ensure our Growth and Sales teams are fully enabled for new products when these solutions exit Beta.
  • Growing and scaling teams.

What Excites Us

  • 15+ years work experience, including Sales, GTM, Partnerships and/or Business Development roles.
  • Proven experience in taking new products from zero to one. 
  • Significant experience and a strong track record of closing deals.
  • Strong prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills; consultative sales approach with a product-centric mindset.
  • Experience with a product or use-case focused prospecting and closing sales motion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally on challenging, high visibility projects.
  • Excitement to work in a high-growth, ambiguous environment and to launch the next generation of Plaid products.
  • Interest in financial services products and a desire to create strategic relationships that help our customers succeed.
  • Desire to get (more) technical and the ability to learn the ins and outs of emerging Plaid products.
