The New Product teams at Plaid combine deep technical, product, and industry knowledge to develop new Plaid products to help our customers build amazing applications. We believe that the way consumers and businesses interact with their financial data will dramatically improve in the next few years. This is an opportunity to help develop and launch cutting edge financial products.

Plaid is looking for an experienced professional to enable the marketing, sales, and delivery of new products (alpha and beta) to prospective customers. The right candidate has impeccable business instincts and can drive strong outcomes. This role will report directly to the Head of New Product GTM and will be responsible for managing a cross-functional team as we introduce these new products to market and prepare them for scale.

What Excites You

  • Working with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders: Product, Engineering, Design, BizOps, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams
  • Identifying good customer-partners with which we can develop early-stage products and obtain product feedback 
  • Working directly with prospects and our commercial team to sign the agreements necessary to contractually prepare these new products for use
  • Working with Product and Product Marketing to oversee the creation of all marketing materials necessary to engage customers successfully
  • Performing price research and price discovery for new products
  • Providing structured insights to GTM and Product on new product market readiness and/or improvements needed to reach general availability
  • Preparing our core Account Management and Sales teams for a successful handoff once the product is ready for general availability
  • Growing and scaling teams.

What Excites Us

  • 12+ years work experience, including Sales, Sales Engineering, Account Management, Partnerships, New Product Introduction, and/or Business Development roles
  • Proven experience in taking new products from zero to one
  • Significant experience and a strong track record of closing deals
  • Strong prospecting, qualifying, and negotiating skills; consultative sales approach with a product-centric mindset
  • Experience with a product or use-case-focused prospecting and closing sales motion
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally on challenging, high visibility projects
  • Excitement to work in a high-growth, ambiguous environments  
  • Desire to get (more) technical and the ability to learn the ins and outs of emerging Plaid products
