Policy Research Advisor - Europe

Plaid is looking for someone to support the Policy team with research and content creation to support both consumer and policymaker education. You will support the policy team in driving engagement on Plaids’ products, the evolving regulations in Europe, fintech market trends and industry and academic partnerships contributing to policies that will nourish an ecosystem that allows consumers to use their financial data to get the products and services they want.

What excites you

  • Writing and communication; including whitepapers, op-eds, issue briefs, and survey and data analysis and infographics
  • Becoming a subject-matter expert in open banking / open finance, digital payments Plaid’s product offerings, and the European fintech market
  • Research, including legislation, regulation, policy papers, and consumer surveys and behavioural data
  • Building research partners both in academia and industry
  • Getting up to speed quickly across all aspects of our product and clients -- including technical depth
  • Cross-functional collaboration and ownership, including working with nearly every team at Plaid. Especially Marketing and GTM
  • Engaging writing which can equally capture the attention of policy wonks or consumers

What excites us

  • 6+ years experience; a plus for folks with policy and/or tech experience
  • Strong “wonk” drive to master the facts and the issues
  • Analytical horsepower and ability to get up to speed quickly
  • Passion for making the promise of fintech--from access to credit to financial empowerment--a reality
  • Technical and product affinity
  • The ideal candidate is positive, collaborative, organized, and eager to be persistent to achieve objectives
  • This role is based in London or Amsterdam
