Performance and Talent Program Lead

Remote | Full-time

We make Plaid the highlight of your career.

At Plaid, our mission is to unlock financial freedom for everyone.  There has never been a better time than now to start building the future of fintech with us. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo and SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 11,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Salt Lake City, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam.

Plaid’s People team aspires to make working at Plaid the highlight of Plaids’ careers. The People & Org Development Team focuses on building programs that develop both our Plaids (our employees) and Plaid (our company) to ensure both our people and our company are set up for success as we scale.

In this position, you’ll lead company-wide performance and talent planning programs to effectively support Plaid’s hyper-growth and ensure our leaders, managers, and Plaids (employees) are set up for success as we scale. You’ll have the ownership to design, influence, and build these programs in a progressive way that both excites Plaids and equips our leaders to build the best and most effective teams.

What Excites You:

  • Define and build the vision and strategy for R+R (Plaid’s performance review process) and talent planning (talent reviews, succession planning, critical talent identification), impacting Plaid’s philosophy on how to best grow and utilize our talent.
  • Work directly and have high visibility with leadership, key cross-functional partners (i.e. HRBPs, People Ops, People Analytics, DEIB, Legal), and key stakeholders (i.e. managers) to align on key program objectives, principles, and improvements.
  • Ensure performance and talent planning programs are set up for success before launch through strong communication, manager trainings, and leader preparation.
  • Identify and implement the right tools and processes to prioritize the efficacy and scalability of each program.
  • Cultivate a culture of feedback beyond performance reviews at Plaid (i.e. implement ongoing feedback) to enable the continuous growth of Plaids and Plaid as a whole

What Excites Us:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Can articulate ideas clearly and effectively 1:1 and to an audience.
  • Has managed performance reviews and/or talent planning processes for at least 5+ years, ideally at multiple companies.
  • Has wide-ranged experience regarding performance and talent programs, this could look like working at a fast-growing company, or working at both small (<500) and larger (1000+) companies.
  • Very passionate and is well-informed about how other companies within tech or our industry conduct performance and talent planning programs effectively.
