Plaid’s GTM Partnerships role represents the core “go to market” function of our channel Partnerships team. This person will work a large portion of Plaid’s payment partners, prioritizing signing new partners in specific payment sub-segments (i.e., billing and subscriptions, eCommerce) and growing existing partner relationships.
This particular hire will initially focus on cultivating new relationships with key strategic billing and commerce firms (e.g., Shopify, Weebly, BigCommerce, Zuora, Chargebee) and drive growth among our channel partners in the Payments vertical.
Partnerships AE will manage vertical prioritization, partner qualification, deal management for both referral or reseller models, price negotiations, and the legal contracting process. Once a partnership is “signed,” the Partnership AE maintains a relationship with the partner to drive incremental revenue + cross-sell opportunities.
Successful candidates in this role have a blend of partner/customer relationship-building ability, commercial skills, and general business aptitude. Past experience in sales/account management, tech partnerships and business development make for a good team fit.
