Our Paid/Acquisition Marketing team is looking for an experienced Event Marketing professional to support as well as manage the coordination and logistics for our event program which consists of virtual, in-person, and hybrid events such as: external-facing webinars (owned, partner, and 3rd party sponsorship), virtual events, and industry conference sponsorships. The right candidate has strong organization, communication, and project management skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced remote-first environment across a large cross-functional team.

As Plaid’s go to for Event Marketing, you’ll be focused on all the planning and logistics for webinars, executive dinners, meetups, happy hours, virtual events, and sponsored trade shows. Your responsibilities will include
-Assist in the developing a strategic event calendar in line with upcoming marketing campaigns and revenue goals
-Cross-functional team kick-offsDevelop and own event workback plans
-Create event landing pages
-Work with Design, Content, Sales Enablement, and Sales
-Manage contractor relationships including event production firms and outside vendors
-Audience acquisition and event promotion plan including email marketing and social
-Support content, speaker logistics, agenda, and and remote event experience for our webinar series (Tech Talks) and our annual event, Plaid Forum
-Responsible for post-event follow-ups, retros, budgetingTrack event campaign performance, measuring ROI, results, and metrics through Salesforce

What excites you

  • You live and breathe the event experience from end to end. You are excited to roll up your sleeves, and find new and creative ways to bring  event campaigns to life that drive pipeline and high return.
  • Work closely with content marketers, product marketers, designers, and other creative partners (internal and external) to develop the content, event copy, slides, and other event promotional assets
  • Work with marketing operations to make campaign requests, and ensure our webinars are set up and tracking properly 
  • Schedule all promotional content, both email and social, to drive webinar registrations
  • Highly cross functional role, where you’ll be collaborating with Sales, Content, Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Growth, Legal, Design, and Comms heavily
  • Openness to domestic travel (~20%)

What excites us

  • 4+ years experience in events and field marketing.
  • Experience at B2B or B2B2C technology companies is preferred. Financial services is a plus
  • Experience managing and executing webinars, trade shows, happy hours ranging from 15 to 500 people.
  • Ability to manage and multi-task on multiple projects and events while liaising across internal teams with multiple stakeholders 
  • Experience using event platforms such as Zoom, SplashThat, Hopin, etc
  • Experience working in B2B Marketing automation tools:  Salesforce and Marketo
  • Great communicator and cross-functional partner - this is where you thrive! You are great at building relationships, connecting the dots between different teams, and keeping everyone on the same page with clear and regular communication
  • Proven track record of building successful partnerships with sales teams to craft programs that are metrics-driven in their approach
  • Creative thinker who likes to test and try different online events formats — such as webinars, workshops, and more – to identify and then scale top performing strategies
  • High attention to detail, with a process and solution-oriented mindset
  • People oriented - Always thinking about the customer and prospect experience, and always striving to improve it 
  • Excellent organizational and operational skills and ability to manage multiple webinar programs simultaneously 
  • Adaptable and flexible. You are an expert at navigating ambiguity and thrive in a remote work environmentCalm under pressure - nothing phases you when it comes to events
