Plaid’s Finance team builds the financial infrastructure to enable sustainable, scalable growth and to ensure attractive long-term economics. We are seeking an experienced Finance leader interested in an opportunity to lead the Revenue FP&A function on our growing team! In this role, you will work closely with the Head of FP&A to build the team from the ground up and drive global revenue financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. This is a highly visible role that will involve partnering with senior GTM and Product leaders to ensure Plaid achieves its short and long term customer growth and monetization objectives.

What excites you...

  • Serve as the FP&A business partner to global GTM leadership, including: COO, Head of Revenue, Marketing, International. Work collaboratively with these groups to drive effective and efficient revenue growth across all stages of the customer journey (lead generation, new logo acquisition, customer expansion, churn)
  • Hire, develop and lead a high performing and inclusive Revenue FP&A team
  • Lead strategic and financial planning processes specific to revenue and GTM, including: target setting, headcount, and other revenue-generating investments (ie, digital marketing)
  • Own quarterly top line forecasting globally across our core business and new bets
  • Develop a deep understanding of Plaid’s customers and most influential business drivers. Use this expertise to convey data driven insights and recommendations in areas such as: sales & marketing efficiency (LTV/CAC), resource mix and allocation (ie, sales segments, marketing channels, geographies), new product opportunities, pricing optimization, variable compensation programs
  • Provide input for deal desk activities, as needed, to ensure financial and commercial optimization
  • Anticipate the future needs of our Revenue FP&A team as Plaid grows in scale and complexity. Proactively implement and oversee the systems, processes and infrastructure necessary to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and forecasting
  • Distil our business and cost drivers into KPI scorecards that underpin how we communicate financial performance, plan for growth, and predict the future
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives as needed

What excites us…

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Sales Finance, FP&A, Strategic Finance, or investment banking. High growth public company B2B SaaS experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a high functioning Finance team and deliver quality results, including people management of 1 or more direct reports
  • A penchant for nurturing trusted cross functional relationships, influencing decisions at the highest levels, and driving alignment on financial targets. Seen as a trusted and objective advisor
  • Deep understanding of B2B SaaS businesses, metrics, and customer lifecycle. Ability to apply these concepts in evaluating opportunities and risks, focusing leadership on metrics that matter, and producing increasingly accurate & reliable forecasts
  • Experience designing and improving financial processes, systems, and controls to match the needs of a high growth business at scale
  • Expert modeling and analytical skills, including global revenue builds (complex cohort analysis)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Able to distill complex business information into consumable executive narratives and actionable insights
  • Proficiency with core financial and GTM systems. Salesforce, Netsuite, SQL, and Planful experience is a plus
