Software Engineering Manager- Product (Income and Employment)

Remote | Full-time

We build simple yet innovative consumer products and developer APIs that shape how everybody interacts with money and the financial system.

We believe the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and infrastructure developers need to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo and SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 11,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Salt Lake City, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam.

The Income and Employment team’s mission is to build a world class experience for lenders looking to verify a borrower's income and employment.  Both the Income and Employment products look to simplify what is today an arduous process by building a quick and easy flow that can verify a borrower's information via various methods. The Income product is in a growth phase as it looks to scale up the product and round out its feature set, while the Employment product is early in development and going through a 0 to 1 phase as it looks to find product market fit.  As the engineering manager for the team, you’ll have ownership over both products as they traverse these different phases.
