Technical Program Manager - Security

We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to help us scale our Security team (including security operations, cloud security, product security, platform security, and abuse) at Plaid. Security is our highest priority strategic initiative and we’re looking for an experienced TPM to partner with our Head of Security to help shape the story and strategy of what security means to our business. In this role, you’ll be called upon to build security and privacy into everything we do internally and externally. You’ll create and manage the cohesive, low-friction systems and processes that enable all employees to elevate Plaid’s security posture.

What excites you

  • Playing a crucial role in shaping the foundations and future of a rapidly growing Security organization.
  • Acting as the glue between multiple groups, functions, and vendors to build shared strategic understanding and ensure organizational alignment for Security initiatives.
  • Creating and driving programs to tighten the data security and governance over our internal data.
  • Building internal processes and managing programs that make a tangible and measurable impact on customers. 
  • Exploring ways to improve existing processes through automation, simplification, and program delivery.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously, and making the tough calls when needed. Turning incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into action plans.

What excites us

  • 5+ years in a technical capacity with 2+ years of security-specific technical experience.
  • Expertise in automating and scaling process, preferably processes related to risk mitigation and management.
  • Experience in building, implementing and maintaining engagement models and rolling out controls and policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence, convey, and distill complex technical information to different audiences
  • Demonstrated commitment to take accountability and responsibility for the success of programsSelf-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and process discipline.
