About Research at Plaid
The research team is a close collaborator with our cross-functional partners to create and refine Plaid’s products, particularly close in partnership to brand, design system, and product designers.

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced researcher to join our team, focused on establishing a relationship with consumers and customers, and identifying the areas where Plaid has opportunities to bring additional value to people’s financial lives. You will help us define our products by bringing research insights to life for product and design partners, stakeholders across go-to-market teams, and those interfacing with financial institutions. You will be helping Plaid make the financial ecosystem accessible for everyone.

  • Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including when and how to apply them during the design process
  • An avid story-teller, skilled in effectively communicating their process to influence product and design decisions
  • A researcher with experience working on digital product teams, with multiple stakeholders across the organization, and influencing product strategy
  • An appetite for interdisciplinary collaboration and experience working on fast-paced emerging product teams
  • Ability to communicate and contribute ideas across all levels of stakeholders
  • Relevant experience in the Financial Technology industry and/or with B2B research is a plus
